Latin American RTD Profile databaseThis database serves as an instrument to enhance the participation of Research and Technological Development (RTD) institutions from Latin America and the Caribbean in the activities of the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development of the European Union (FP7).The database is a product of the LAC-ACCESS project funded by the Sixth Framework Programme (FP6). Its purpose is the promotion of participation of high-quality research organizations in collaborative research projects, such as for example the specific international co-operation actions (SICAs) that address specific thematic areas or challenges in the European Community's international Science & Technology (S&T) co-operation with International Co-operation Partner Countries (ICPCs). With the help of this database European research communities and institutions will be able to identify potential partners for collaborative projects in FP7. Directory of high quality LAC research institutions The directory on high-qualitiy research institutions in Latin America is one of the main instruments of LAC ACCESS to bridge high-quality research organisations in Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) with those of the European Union in order to support the inclusion of LAC researchers and institutions in projects funded under the FP7 and the opening up of the European Research Area to LAC. The directory includes profiles and access data of LAC-research organisations in the fields of Health, Food, Agriculture & Biotechnology, Energy, Environment (including Climate Change), Information Society Technologies and Socio-economic Sciences & Humanities and is available as a printed version as well as a digital version. |
